Since 1910, OAL's annual juried exhibitions continue to be the backbone of the organization's artistic programming, showcasing current work by Ohio artists. For each exhibition, the juror(s) invited by OAL’s Board will apply contemporary standards of excellence to select visual art of the highest merit.

| Juror: Natalia Arbelaez Natalia Arbelaez is a Colombian American artist, born and raised in Miami, Florida to immigrant parents. She received her B.F.A. from Florida International University and her M.F.A. from The Ohio State University, with an Enrichment Fellowship. In 2016-2017 she was a Rittenberg Fellow at Clay Art Center; Port Chester, New York and was awarded the Inaugural Artaxis Fellowship that funded a residency to Watershed in Newcastle, ME. Her work has been exhibited internationally, in museums, galleries, and included in various collections, such as the Everson Museum, MAD Museum, Fuller Museum and The ICA Miami. She has been recognized by NCECA as a 2018 Emerging Artist and was a 2018-19 resident artist at the Ceramics Program at, Harvard University where she researched pre-Columbian art and histories. Natalia was an artist in residence at the Museum of Art and Design in New York City where she researched the work of historical and influential women ceramicists of color and continued this research as a 2021 and 2023 Visiting Artist at AMOCA in Pomona, CA. She lives and works in The Mid-Hudson Valley region in NY. |

Eligibility:
Open to Ohio Art League members only. Not a member yet? Click here to fix that!
Entrants must be at least 18 years of age
Artists may enter only their original work
Artwork must have been completed in the last four years
Artists may enter up to three (3) pieces
Artwork larger than 48" x 48" or that requires specific installation methods can be submitted and awarded but may not be exhibited due to venue constraints.
Dates:
Submissions due: January 28th 11:59pm
Artist Notification: April 11 - All submitting artists are notified of their acceptance or non-acceptance. If you did not get a notification email oal@oal.org
Show Dates: May 8 - July 12
Drop-off: May 3 and 4
Opening Reception: Sunday, May 12 2-4pm
Pickup: July 15 - 17
Awards:
Juror will award up to 6 winners: $500 for Best of Show, $200 for second place, and $100 for third place; with up to three possible Honorable Mention.
Policies:
The curators reserve the right to refuse entry of materials not prepared to the specifications listed on the entry form.
Submission
of an entry shall constitute agreement on the part of the artist or
artist's representative that said images may be used without restriction
by the exhibition’s coordinators for the purpose of promoting and
documenting the exhibition (e.g., press releases, posters, internet
promotion, grant requests and reports)
Sales
– All monies from art sales will be disbursed as follows: 25% split between OAL and Concourse Gallery and 75%
to the artist within 45 days after the conclusion of the exhibition.
