Meet our Juror: Andrew Hendrixson

Andrew Hendrixson, a native of Ohio, is an artist and writer currently based in Seattle. As an artist, he exhibits widely and most recently unveiled his 50' glass mosaic public art project in Columbus, Ohio. He has been an artist in residence at numerous institutions including the Chautauqua Institute, the Brydcliffe Colony, and Parts & Labor. His work and writing can be found in publications including Image, Comment, Best American Essays, and New American Paintings.

Brittany Duncan, Owner/Director of Hammond Harkins Galleries, will share insights into the dynamic and evolving relationship between galleries and the artists they represent. The talk will explore how trust, communication, and mutual vision form the foundation of a successful partnership, as well as the practical aspects of collaboration, including exhibition planning, marketing, sales, and long-term career development.

Sue's exhibition is on display at the Gateway to the Arts Gallery through March. Check out the online store or stop by the ticketing level of the airport to see the gallery in person.

President's corner

March is here! Worthington-based artist Sue Swihart's paintings of birds are currently on view at Gateway to the Arts Gallery, and The Art of Compassion is on view at Broad Street Presbyterian Church. Be sure to also check out our March Artist of the Month, Samantha Bias.

Entry calls and due dates for the upcoming Spring Exhibition and Gateway for the Arts will be announced soon—so keep an eye out and start thinking about what you might share next.

I am thankful for the Greater Columbus Arts Council, Ohio Arts Council, The Columbus Foundation, and all of you whose continued support keeps our creative community strong. Ohio Art League is proud to continue creating opportunities for artists to connect, exhibit, and grow together.
