Robie and Dawn have met periodically over the past year to share their unique ideas and techniques. This exhibit reveals works inspired by one another, alongside collaboration paintings and installation pieces, all rooted in their shared love of the natural world. This partnership was made possible by the OAL Mentorship Grant.

President's Corner

This September as the warm days become shorter, and Summer turns to Fall OAL continues two excellent exhibitions, and opens a new exhibition at Palmer Hall.

The opening reception for "Mindful: The Art of Observation" will be held in Palmer Hall, at Broad Street Presbyterian, Thursday, September 17th, from 5-7pm. This exhibition welcomes diverse interpretations of what it means to observe.

"Reflections on America at 250," continues through September 27th, at the Ross Museum in Delaware. This exhibition includes over sixty works from member artists exploring the richness and complexity of the American experience 250 years in. It includes both contemporary and traditional works.

“Living Earth” a collaboration of works by Robie Benve and Dawn Petrill continues at RAW Gallery. This is the very first exhibition made possible through the Ohio Art League’s Mentorship program.

Keith Scanlon’s nonobjective acrylic paintings are currently on view at the Gateway to the Arts. These works build layers of colorful geometric forms with non-traditional painting tools like beaters and squeegees. These works are colorful developments of composition.

Congratulations to Marc Sapp for being Artist of the Month for August.

It has been great seeing so many new faces at these events, As always, I couldn’t thank everyone enough who has been working diligently behind the scenes to make this happen.
