Exhibitions
OAL members are eligible to submit art for the
two annual juried exhibitions free of charge.
Members may also propose exhibitions for the OAL
Gallery through the MCE Program.
Publications
Ohio Art, the annual report of the Ohio Art League,
is a photo-journal archive of the previous year’s
programs and exhibitions, including special events,
jurors, exhibiting artists, supporters and service
awards. With a distribution of 2,500, the journal
is mailed to members and is distributed free of
charge throughout Ohio, including museums and
galleries. Details, a quarterly newsletter, informs
members of the activities and events of the Ohio
Art League and provides a listing of artist opportunities.
Programs
The Artist Info/Expo is a biennial mini-conference,
featuring networking opportunities with statewide
visual arts representation and workshops to assist
artists in their professional endeavors. Life
Drawing sessions are sponsored by the League and
held every Sunday at the OAL Gallery for a nominal
charge. Additional informal workshops are offered
in the gallery throughout the year. From time
to time OAL also offers informal workshops at
the gallery on subjects ranging from shooting
slides, to marketing art, to doing your taxes.
Slide Registry
A slide file of members’ artwork is maintained
by the Ohio Art League and is available to curators,
museums, collectors, art dealers and the general
public. Members of the Ohio Art League may submit
a page of twenty labeled slides with a bio or
resume.

Web Site
The Ohio Art League website, www.oal.org, describes
programs, provides applications forms, houses links
to our sponsors, and lists the names/media of artist
members. The OAL Website includes a registry in
which members may have a link to their personal
websites.
Online Portfolio
The Ohio Art League member benefits include an invaluable
marketing tool for all artists. In partnership with

receive an online Artists Portfolio at

portfolio provides artists with an online presence
where they display an artist statement, gallery
representation, exhibition history, reviews, links,
and 40 images. Artists may use e-invitations and
guestbook features to keep potential buyers involved.

Part of what makes The Ohio Art League unique is
